Fall 2011 Ready-to-Wear New York

This week marks the beginning of my second favorite season of the year: fall fashion week.  There's just something about fall fashion that I love and already, we were impressed by quite a few designers/fashion houses this season.

So, without further ado, here are some of my favorite looks from this week.  (In no particular order.)

Z Spoke by Zack Posen
I love dark clothes, dark make up and dark hair on the runway.  Sure, the ethereal, minimalistic look is great too, but nothing brings drama like the color black. That being said, I adored the looks from Zack Posen this season, especially this liquid black jacket.

This season, Kit Willow showed us some killer skinny pants that included a knit and leather motorcycle pants and these wonderful, zebra-inspired high-waisted (tweed?) skinnies.  I think I would wear these in a heartbeat.

Lyn Devon
Lyn Devon took a different approach than her colleagues, by designing a quirky and bright collection for the fall season.  Cecilia Mendez looked adorable in the mixed prints and bright yellow scarves, but I really love the clashing of patterns in this particular outfit.

Steven Alan

Hands down, Steven Alan's collection was my favorite of the week.  It was just so wearable and the styling was impeccable, especially the styling of the menswear.  I simply couldn't choose which one of the two looks I liked better, so I chose both. I really love the mix-matched khaki "suit" and the round horn-rimmed glasses on the male model.  And the heather gray socks was a nice touch.

  1. Oh I just love the second and third outfit!Absolutely stunning!

  2. I love the Willow outfit!
