I love DIYs. I love to create things and be able to wear them, but without having to slave over my sewing machine. So today, I was doing my routine scan of Net-A-Porter and laid eyes on this beautiful Valentino shrug. Instantly, I thought, Hey, I could make that. Maybe even in black. And I have enough black fabric lying around to do it. It looks like a simple, but time consuming project. And it it works out, I'll post how I did it with clear instructions/photos. So stay tuned!
This shrug reminds me of H&M's Garden collection from last year. They had one just like this, with little embellished roses (in red and beige).
