Desigual

If you live in the Manhattan area, then you heard of Desigual.  Desigual is a clothing store that's not for the faint of heart.  When I first walked into their Soho location, I was in awe.  I've never seen so much color in one boutique in my life.  Their clothes are bright and free spirited, perfect for the modern day hippie or for those who throw caution to the wind.
I don't think I'm brave enough to wear a lot of the things that they sell, but I wish I were.  A friend of mine absolutely loves everything they sell, and more power to her for being brave enough to wear it.
Oh and about a few months ago (towards the beginning of fall semester for us college kids) Desigual apparently gave out some type of prize (I think it was an outfit) to anyone that entered the store in their underwear.  Again, my free spirited friend was disappointed that she missed this promotion, and I'll admit, I was a little disappointed myself.  Who cares if I get fined for indecent exposure, free duds from Desigual is worth it.

  1. I will have to say that in the beggining I really liked Desigual. They had cool pieces, very similar to Custo Barcelona but cheaper. But now, I'm very sorry, but I'm sooo tired of it. Here in Portugal everyone wears Desigual. I guess that in the US it's something quite new and refreshing, but here is more of the same. I do own a nice sweater and a dress (which I don't like as much as I used to...:( ) Loving your blog!
